The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce suicidal behavior and substance use, reduce the impact of trauma, and promote mental health among youth through the ages of 24 years.
Vision Statement: We envision our Hopi/Tewa people to be knowledgeable of suicide prevention techniques and our youth feel supported by their families and elders; our youth are focused on living their lives based on Hopi values of Kuptsi (respect),Namingangwa (helping one another) and Suminangwa (working together.)
Mission Statement: Integrate culturally appropriate suicide prevention strategies to reduce the incidents of suicide among our youth.
